Recruitment
From EoCWiki
Application Process
Our need for new members is in a constant state of flux. One week we have all we need then life comes at us and we may have a few new openings. If you don’t find your class on our list of needs that doesn’t necessarily mean you have no chance of getting in. Feel free to fill out and throw up an application at any time if you are interested in joining us. We will consider exceptional players of any class.
Requirements for potential membership
- Must be at least 18 years of age. Please understand we are an adult guild and there is no exception to this policy.
- Must read, understand and agree to everything in this document. This document reflects our goals and values. If you don’t agree with the content of this document, we probably aren’t a good fit for you anyway.
- Your gear will be evaluated and must meet a basic level of quality.
- Must complete a basic interview with an officer.
- If applicant is on a different server, must be willing to transfer to a PVE server.
- All trials must meet 70% raid attendance during their review period.
- To apply to Edge of Chaos please follow the “Apply to Join” link on our website (www.eoc-guild.com) and fill out an application.
Your recruitment post is our first impression of you so treat it as you would any other application. Try to avoid using “texting slang” such as excessive use of acronyms such as “LOL” and “ROFLMAO”. While such chat lingo is acceptable in game it only makes your application harder to read and therefore reflects negatively on you.
Once completed, your application will go into our public forums under our, (you guessed it), Applications section. It is highly recommended that you check on your application thread from time to time as that is how our officers will contact you after reviewing your application. If you don’t respond to us we will simply assume you are no longer interested and close your application.
Once your application is reviewed and approved you will be invited into a [http:\\www.ventrilo.com vent] session to talk with one of our officers, (usually our guild master or recruitment officer(s)), to get to know you and see if you would fit in with us. If the interview goes well you will be invited to the guild as a recruit.
You will remain in the recruit rank for approximately 30 days. In order to be promoted to the rank of full time Raider you must have 66% attendance to progression raids. As a recruit you may not be invited to every raid, when not invited in to a raid you will be placed on standby. You are not expected to sit outside the instance, but to be on vent available in case we need to fill a slot. You will get attendance credit for being on standby. If you remain in good standing during your time as a recruit you will be promoted to our full time raider rank. This does not always take 30 days but we reserve the right to use the entire month to make our decision.
Loot as a Recruit
Full Raiding members Have Priority on Loot. This doesn't mean as a recruit you will not receive Loot. If no Raider needs the item for their MAIN SPEC then you will have the chance to win the loot for your MAIN SPEC.
Please See the Loot Distribution System section for more information on our Loot system
