10 Man Raids

With the Introduction of changes in Cata for 10 man guild operations, we will be focused as a guild on a single 10 man raid.

This does not mean that with the introduction of 3-4 10 man dungeons, that we will always take the SAME 10 people to the 10 man. Merely that we will only try and focus on main filling one "full" run for each dungeon.

Loot Rules

Edge of Chaos uses the following rolls for gear:

  • Main spec Raider
  • Main Spec recruits & Members
  • Off-spec Raider
  • Open Roll
  • Disenchant

Cloth first....

While i do understand that sometimes that cloth hat is the Best in Slot for your Shaman's elemental spec - we have to respect that there is more competition for cloth than any other type of armor. As a result - if you wish to roll for your MAIN SPEC, and the Gear is NOT your MAIN ARMOR TYPE you may roll ONE step behind the others.

So for example, Cloth Headpiece drops:

  • Main Spec Raider Cloth Users
  • Main spec recruits & members & leather/mail/plate Main spec Raiders
  • Off-Spec Raiders & leather/mail/plate Main spec Recruits & raiders
  • Open Roll

Greens and Blues

Green and blue drops will go to the Designated Dis-enchanter. They will turn these into mats. The guild will use these mats to ASSIST you in enchanting gear. This is first come, first serve. You will need to provide any mats that the guild cannot.

BoE Items

Bind on Equip Items will be rolled upon in the following order:

  • Main spec Raider
  • Main Spec recruits & Members
  • Guild Bank

BoE gear for offspecs or alts, etc may be purchased from the guild bank.

BoE gear won during a raid - MUST immediately be equipped - you don't have to keep it on (missing gems and enchants) we just want to make sure people are serious about items they ask for.

When We raid

Our official progression raid times are Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday from 7pm-10/10:30pm CST (Server time). 8pm- 11/11:30 pm EST

  • Invites go out around 6:45pm
  • Everyone inside the instance, buffed and ready to pull by 7pm.

What we raid

The officers of Edge of Chaos decide what we raid.

Although we encourage members to give their opinion on all things concerning the guild, this is not a true democracy. We do what’s best for the guild with general acknowledgment of individual needs.

Invites to raids

Invites go out in the following order:

  • Raiders
  • Recruits
  • Members

Keep in mind, we may bring in a recruit, or even a member and ask a raider to sit if we need to maintain class balance.

At raid time, final group organization will be completed - just because your in the raid prior to raid time does not guarantee raid availability. We do the best we can to balance the raid.

Invites after we are full of raiders/Recruits - are on standby, pending raid class balance.

Members may be swapped out after a boss or two if standby are needed to progress (some fights are gear checks) or class balance.

Class Balance

With the exception of encounters that need specific classes or roles we generally follow the following group makeup:

  • (2) Two Tanks
  • (2) Two Main Healers
  • (2) Melee DPS
  • (2) Ranged DPS
  • (1) Either DPS
  • (1) Healer/DPS

Boss strat discussions

  • While we appreciate useful tips before a new boss; please keep them short an consise.
  • all comments should be Under 15 seconds idealy.
  • If asked for Quiet, please - it's time to pull.
  • Don't talk a boss strat to death.

Member strat contributions

30 minutes before a raid starts is a good time to start up a conversation about strats and such with the officers or members that will be running the raid. In addition, any time other than during a raid.
